Antiques & collectibles from the 1920s – our selection, your next find
Furniture – classic elegance for your home
Discover original Art Déco furniture from the 1920s: tables, chairs, cabinets, shelving units, beds, consoles, and sideboards – often crafted from fine woods such as Macassar ebony, walnut, or amboyna. The characteristic faceted mirrors are also not to be missed. Particularly popular are chests of drawers with black lacquered diamond or chrome inlays, as well as consoles with clear geometric forms – perfect eye-catchers for elegant living spaces.
Our Art Déco lamps create an atmosphere that balances glamour and functionality, with elaborate brass frames and alabaster or glass shades. Whether floor and table lamps as decorative elements or magnificent ceiling chandeliers, each piece is a handcrafted one-of-a-kind. Many examples are offered lovingly restored or as faithful reproductions – perfect for inspiring design enthusiasts and interior architects.
From sculptures and vases to mirrors, rugs, and clocks, as well as bookends, our decorative objects enrich any space and lend it an elegant presence. Iconic pieces such as Max Le Verrier sculptures, René Lalique glass display pieces, or glamorous bronzes create stylish focal points and give a home character and a story.
The French sculptor Max Le Verrier (1891–1973) became renowned after the First World War for his elegant Art Déco sculptures in bronze, ivory, and terracotta. His figurative works – especially female nudes and animal representations such as panthers or pelicans – are characterized by their athletic realism and perfect symmetry. In 1925, he was awarded a gold medal at the Paris World Exhibition. At Art Déco 1925, you will find impressive originals and rare reproductions, including the famous “Clarté” – ideal for collectors of fine sculptures in dynamic poses.
René Lalique (1860–1945) is regarded as a pioneer of modern glass and jewelry design. After his breakthrough in Art Nouveau, he turned toward Art Déco in the 1920s, introducing new techniques such as pressed glass and creating iconic flacons, vases, and architectural elements. His work is famously associated with the cargo and passenger ship “SS Normandie” as well as radiator mascots for Bugatti and Rolls-Royce. In the Art Déco 1925 collection, you will find authentic Lalique glass objects – from standout vases to refined vessels.
The Belgian manufactory De Coene Frères, founded in 1860, became renowned during the Art Déco era for its highly decorative terracotta figures, wall reliefs, and stylized female nudes. Characteristic features include a clear formal language, geometric ornamentation, and an expressively restrained color palette. In addition to artistic objects, the company also produced fine Art Déco furniture, often in black lacquer, burl wood, or with inlays. The Art Déco 1925 repertoire offers a curated selection of distinctive furniture pieces that transform living spaces into a complete work of art.
The German company Jakob Bengel from Idar-Oberstein, founded in 1873, developed into the leading manufacturer of Art Déco costume jewelry during the 1920s. The pieces are characterized by geometric forms, galalith (early plastic), and combinations with chrome or nickel, showing clear parallels to Bauhaus aesthetics and today regarded as highly sought-after collectors’ items.
